About
I am a fantasy author and a veteran of two wars, having served in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. My experiences in military service deeply shaped my interest in duty, consequence, and the enduring weight of decisions. Ideas that now sit at the heart of my fiction.
A lifelong admirer of immersive fantasy worlds, I draw inspiration from works such as The Lord of the Rings, World of Warcraft, Dungeons & Dragons, and Dragonlance. I am particularly drawn to stories where victories carry cost, characters are forced to live with their choices, and history itself feels alive.
I am the author of The Cost of Standing Between, the first installment in the Weight of Memory series.
I live in the United States with my wife and four children and one step-child, who remain the center of my world and my greatest source of purpose.
When not writing, I am usually developing new characters, refining imaginary histories, or thinking about stories long before they reach the page.
