My writing

A Greater Deed

Washing clothes at the laundry point in Iraq.
I can’t help but think of what
I’ll do when I get back.
Although i have a moment to sit and think.
All
this destruction and suffering brings you to the brink.
Seeing all this
Bullshit and being alone definitely turns you to stone.
I’m just sick of
being alone.
I miss my girl, my friends and family and I know they miss me
too.
But the constant mile after mile and being on edge takes alot from
you.
But listen to my words and take heed.
What we do is for a greater
deed.

Red, White and Blue

I still hear and see things I want to forget.
If you ask me I’ll say “I have no regret.”
It is what I feel I must do.
So we can live free and proud under the Red, White and Blue.

My pain is mine…

My pain is mine, your pain is yours.

Our pain affects us, and I know it’s not the same.

I’m knee deep in a bottle of Jack and you always wonder why I can’t tell you what eats me.

Probably because when you hear what I am capable of you’ll leave me.

I know the reality and I’ve seen it all.

Where will you be when I fall?

My pain is mine and your pain is yours.

Maybe one day we can close these doors……
